About Us

House Church is different from most churches. We meet in homes, but there is more to it than that.

We adhere to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith and this is our practice.

We are a Reformed Baptist Church and we follow traditional practices in our worship.

We minister to each other through prayer, words of encouragement, testimonies of what God is doing in our lives, and sharing what God is speaking to us in our own times of prayer and bible study.

Finally, it is a place where you will make close relationships with others. Each house church shares a meal together at each meeting, allowing us to develop deeper relationships and encourage each other.

What is a service like?

Each service begins with a time of singing, worship, and ministry. We sing Hymns and Psalms and praise God with our singing.

We also take some time to break apart into groups and pray for each other. The depressed are encouraged, burdens are shared as we seek God for each others’ needs.

Following the worship and prayer time, a short message is given. After the message, we often discuss what God spoke to each of us through the word.

In addition to the ministry time, we all share a meal together. We laugh together, eat great food (usually potluck), and talk about what’s going on in our lives. But most importantly, we deepen relationships with our church family!

House Church Believes

  • In the infallibility of the scriptures.
  • That Jesus is God’s Son and the only sacrifice for sin.
  • That man must be born again to receive eternal life.
  • In the virgin birth and deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • That Jesus rose bodily from the dead.
  • God is Sovereign

House Church is:

Ministry to God

We minister to God through worship during service times and during our daily, personal quiet times.

Ministry to Us

Through the services. We pray for each other and encouraging each other with testimonies. Finally, we receive as the pastor, and other lay ministers teach and preach in the services.

Ministry to Others

We minister to others through prayer, encouragement, testimonies, exhortations, teachings. We also minister in our Bible reading group, and in our weekly bible study.

Christians function best when they have deep relationships with other Christians. To help develop these relationships, everyone eats a meal together at every meeting. There are also retreats and social events to deepen those relationships.

Outreach is a big part of House Church. We all invite our friends and neighbors to join us at one of the meetings, and we also have neighborhood outreaches as well, such as block parties and cookouts.

Bible Reading

An important part of House Church is the bible reading plan we do together. Throughout the year, we spend time reading the Bible each day, and sharing (through the app) what God is speaking to us through the passage. It’s been amazing to see how many different things God can show people in the same passage!

Bible Study

Once a week we meet together virtually for an in-depth bible study. Each week everyone reads the assigned passage, and then we come together and share what we have learned.
